United States President Donald Trump has declared that his country’s election process is worse than that of third world countries.
Trump was reacting to the Senate runoffs in Georgia, where senior pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, Rev. Raphael Warnock, has been projected winner of one of the elections.
Warnock defeated Republican incumbent Sen. Kelly Loeffler, a loyalist of Trump.
The control of the US Senate now comes down to Republican David Perdue, who is running to keep his seat against Democrat Jon Ossoff. Ossoff is currently leading his rival.
In a tweet Wednesday evening, Trump alleged that the election officials happened to “find” 50,000 ballots late Tuesday night.
He stated that the USA was embarrassed by those he described as “fools.”
“They just happened to find 50,000 ballots late last night. The USA is embarrassed by fools. Our Election Process is worse than that of third world countries!” Trump tweeted.
The American president has continued to deny his loss to President-elect Joe Biden in November 2020 presidential election.
He has continued to allege voter fraud without evidence.
In an hourlong phone call on Saturday, Trump pressured Georgia state officials to “find” him votes to overturn Biden’s victory in the state.
The US congress, presided over by Vice President Mike Pence, is currently sitting to certify the presidential election.
Trump has challenged Pence to decertify results of states he lost, asking him to show “courage.”
He tweeted, “If Vice President @Mike_Pence comes through for us, we will win the Presidency. Many States want to decertify the mistake they made in certifying incorrect & even fraudulent numbers in a process NOT approved by their State Legislatures (which it must be). Mike can send it back!”
In another tweet, the American president, said “States want to correct their votes, which they now know were based on irregularities and fraud, plus corrupt process never received legislative approval. All Mike Pence has to do is send them back to the States, AND WE WIN. Do it Mike, this is a time for extreme courage!”
